3. Instrument Maintenance: Ensure a well-maintained instrument for effective learning.
4. Consistent Practice: Regular and consistent practice according to the teacher's suggestions.
5. Supervision and Encouragement: Supervise practice sessions, offering encouragement and support.
6. Punctuality: Demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality at lessons.
7. Performance Participation: Take advantage of local talent shows, ensembles, and competitions.
8. Punctual Payments: Ensure punctual payment of tuition and fees for seamless learning.
Lesson Schedule and Commitment: Your Path to Success
When you enrol, you secure your spot for the entire term. While changes to weekly schedules are considered, they are subject to approval on a case-by-case basis each month before tuition is due.
Annual Calendar:
- Students are guaranteed 42 lessons per year, divided into 4 terms.
- Summer term has 11 weeks, while others have 10 weeks.
- Our calendar aligns closely with ACT School Terms.
Emergency Weeks:
- 42 paid lessons, providing 10 weeks without lessons for vacations, holidays, emergencies, or schedule conflicts.
- Unused Emergency Weeks translate to extra lessons at no additional cost for students.
Scheduling:
- Lesson times roll over from Term 4 to Term 1, ensuring continuity.
- Changes mid-term are accommodated when possible but are not guaranteed.
Tuition and Materials: Investing in Your Musical Journey
Tuition:
- Flat-rate system for predictable monthly payments.
- Inclusive of pre-planned absences, My Music Staff portal access, constant feedback, supplemental material, recital fees, Studio 6 Ensemble, and theory lessons.
- Paid via automatic direct debit on the 1st of each month through Stripe.
Lesson Materials:
- Students are responsible for purchasing required music and materials.
- Advanced notice for any teacher-produced content provided within 24-48 hours.
Cancellation and Make-Up Policy: Flexibility in Learning
Student Absences:
- Tuition fee remains constant and is non-refundable for student absences.
- One make-up lesson guaranteed per term for specific conditions.
Teacher Absences:
- Make-up lessons offered or lesson credit applied if a make-up is not possible.
Withdrawal Policy: Flexibility for Life's Changes
- 30-day notice for withdrawal, communicated in person and via email/text.
- Withdrawn students forfeit their time slot but can be placed on a waiting list.
- Unused lessons refunded based on a case-by-case basis.
Recitals and Performances: Showcasing Your Talents
- Studio recitals at the end of Term 2 and Term 4.
- Performance pieces chosen six weeks in advance, subject to a hearing two weeks before the recital date.
Communication: Staying Connected
- The preferred communication channels are text messages or emails for effective and efficient interaction.
