Tell me in a few sentences what your overall experience has been with learning violin with Julia? 

We came to the violin a little bit hesitant, because we know that violin is a difficult instrument to master. For instance, if you play a note on the piano it is already pitched at the note you are playing, but this is not the case for the violin. It has taught our child to listen carefully to the notes he is playing and think critically about how he can improve his playing. 

Think back to when your child started to learn, what obstacles have been overcome?     

Perhaps the biggest obstacle for us has been trying to get our child to multitask (i.e. read notes, hold and play the instrument and keep his bow and pitch en point). The longer he has played, the more confident he has grown in managing the instrument. We believe it has also improved his coordination and his reading.

   If you were to refer a friend, what would you highlight to them as the benefits of learning violin with Julia's Music Studio?

  Julia is dynamic, patient and very invested in teaching children to play the violin. You can tell immediately from how she plays her own violin that it is a quality technique she will be passing on to her own students.

Tell me in a few sentences what your overall experience has been with learning violin with Julia? 

Learning violin has been very enjoyable. Julia is a great teacher and provides very good help and advice with violin. I am already in AMEB grade 4 and I really enjoy learning violin with Julia.

Think back to when your child started to learn, what obstacles have been overcome?  

The first time of violin is boring and hard but with the help of a good teacher like Julia, it will be much more enjoyable.
I've made amazing progress since I learnt violin with Julia.

If you were to refer a friend, what would you highlight to them as the benefits of learning violin with Julia's Music Studio?

A highlight for me is definitely end of year performances. Julia has organised amazing end of year performances.
A highlight of every week is going to my music lessons. Julia makes music lessons very fun and you learn a lot of new things. My violin has been getting better quickly since I joined Julia's music lessons.

Learning violin is challenging but fun!

Think back to when your child started to learn, what obstacles have been overcome?  

The posture and bow control was difficult at the beginning. However my child has improved over the two years learning with Julia. The sound is much better now.

If you were to refer a friend, what would you highlight to them as the benefits of learning violin with Julia's Music Studio?

Julia's teaching is inspiring and fun. There is focus on the technique but also make sure students are enjoying music.
